Another year, another Lunar New Year, but Qiu Fei Fei isn’t looking forward to it at all due to the constant pressure to get married. To have a peaceful holiday, she spends a lot of money to rent a boyfriend for three days. Her rented boyfriend, Ji Xuan, who is a drama student, does an excellent job, and Qiu’s mother becomes increasingly satisfied with him as a prospective son-in-law. Just as Ji Xuan is about to complete his mission and leave, an unexpected situation arises, causing him to stay at the Qiu household.
